This week Careknowledge issued a
special report in which Pauline Ormond, who spent 11 years in care and subsequently helped found Who Cares? Scotland, details her experiences in relation to accessing her own care files and the ways in which record keeping affects service users and their subsequent understanding of their experiences in care.
This sounds really good and would be useful for people to know about the impact they have when they record observations about young people. It's a shame that this isn't more widely available for people to see.
ReplyDeleteSorry Gareth. CareKnowledge is a subscription service and I don't think this report is available elsewhere. You might be able to find other relevent information at http://professionals.whocaresscotland.org/
